ISLAMABAD:
The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) have signed a landmark agreement to introduce the CRMS Mobile Application—an innovative digital platform that will allow residents of Islamabad to apply for and obtain Birth and Death Certificates entirely online.
The agreement was finalized during a signing ceremony held at the MCI Conference Room. Chief Officer MCI, Dr. Anam Fatima, signed on behalf of the Metropolitan Corporation, while Director General Syed Gohar Abbas Jaffery represented NADRA. Senior officials from both sides were also in attendance.
With the launch of this platform, citizens will no longer have to visit MCI offices for civil registration services. Through the CRMS Mobile App, applicants will be able to submit forms, upload required documents, track application status in real time, and receive digitally authenticated certificates backed by NADRA’s secure verification and data integration systems.
Dr. Anam Fatima described the initiative as a major advancement in MCI’s digital governance agenda. She noted that the new system will streamline civil registration processes, minimize public inconvenience, and enhance transparency and efficiency in service delivery.
DG NADRA Syed Gohar Abbas Jaffery reaffirmed NADRA’s commitment to providing robust technical support, secure authentication frameworks, and seamless system integration to ensure the platform’s reliability and compliance with national digital governance standards.
The partnership represents a significant step toward building a Smart and Digitally Empowered Islamabad, where essential municipal services are accessible to citizens with just a few taps on their mobile devices.
