Rawalakot: “We will not allow any compromise on the unity and freedom of Kashmir. At this critical time, instead of creating divisions over ideologies, there is a dire need to unite and work systematically against Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir while ensuring the implementation of UN resolutions. The time for ideological debates will come only after the liberation of Kashmir.”

These views were expressed by prominent leaders at a luncheon hosted by Dr. Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum, former Human Rights Advisor and President of the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), in honor of Sardar Naeem Anjum Khan, a renowned political and social figure from Britain and former central president of the Muslim Students Federation.

The gathering was attended by Prof. Dr. Saleem Khan (Former Dean University), Dr. Ghulam Hussain (Secretary General Sudhan Educational Conference), Sardar Amjad Jalil (Former Chairman Investment Board, PTI Central Leader), Sardar Shaukat Mahmood (Chief Editor Daily Islamabad Today), Sardar Amir Khurshid (District President PPP, Councilor), along with senior journalists and community leaders Sardar Abid Siddique, Sardar Abdul Razaq Khan, Sardar Firdous Ahmed, Sardar Shakeel Aftab, Badruddin Chaudhry, Sardar Ahsan Irshad and others.

Speakers strongly condemned the atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) after the revocation of Article 370, including massacres, genocide, illegal land-grabbing, fake cases against Kashmiri leadership, and their imprisonment under black laws. They said such actions are a gross violation of the UN Charter and Geneva Convention, and demanded the immediate unconditional release of all Kashmiri prisoners.

They emphasized that the political and religious leadership of Azad Kashmir must stand united to safeguard Kashmir’s cause, as Azad Kashmir cannot afford ideological chaos. Speakers also expressed disappointment over the negligible progress in development and the government’s absence during the recent devastating rains. They demanded the federal government announce a special relief and development package for Azad Kashmir without further delay.
