Islamabad : A high-level meeting of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Poonch Division ticket holders, senior leaders, and local representatives was held at the People’s Secretariat in Islamabad. The session was chaired by former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan and former President and Prime Minister Sardar Yaqub Khan.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to review and finalize preparations for the upcoming “Battle for Truth” (Ma’araka-e-Haq) public rally scheduled to take place in Rawalakot on September 21.

Speakers emphasized the historic importance of the gathering, highlighting its political and national implications. They expressed confidence that the event would serve as a milestone in the political history of Azad Kashmir.

Addressing the meeting, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan and Sardar Yaqub Khan stated that the Rawalakot rally is not just a political event but a demonstration of the unbreakable bond between the Kashmiri people and the armed forces of Pakistan.

They said the “Battle for Truth” rally is being organized in the backdrop of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defense agreement and the recent success of Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, to honor the unity of the Muslim Ummah, Pakistan’s sovereignty, and the sacrifices of Islamic forces.

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas commended the bravery shown by Pakistan’s military during the operation, calling it a moment of pride for the entire Muslim world. He reiterated that Kashmiris, on both sides of the Line of Control, stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s armed forces.

Sardar Yaqub Khan added that Pakistan has always been the strongest advocate for the Kashmiri cause on international platforms and that the bond between Kashmiris and Pakistan is ideological and spiritual—something no power in the world can break.

He further stated that the entire nation of 240 million Pakistanis stands united with the people of Kashmir, transcending all political and regional differences. This unity, he said, strengthens the Kashmir freedom movement and uplifts the morale of the Kashmiri people.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was resolved that the September 21 rally in Rawalakot will be made a historic and memorable event to send a clear message to the world that the people of Kashmir are united and resolute in their struggle for self-determination.
