ISLAMABAD, October 18, 2025 — Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Romania, Mr. Ilyas Mehmood Nizami, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Senator Dar commended Mr. Nizami’s valuable contributions as Director General (South Asia) at the Ministry, particularly for his efforts during critical diplomatic junctures. He conveyed his best wishes for Mr. Nizami’s upcoming assignment in Bucharest, expressing confidence that the new ambassador will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Romania.
The Foreign Minister also emphasized the importance of expanding political, economic, and cultural engagements with Romania, a long-standing partner in Europe, noting that both nations share a desire to deepen collaboration across multiple sectors.
