The Third Session of the Pakistan–EU Migration Mobility Dialogue was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was co-chaired by Director General (Europe) Irfan Ahmed from Pakistan and Deputy Director General HOME Johannes Luchner representing the European Union.

The two sides reviewed the outcomes of earlier discussions held during the 16th Pakistan-EU Joint Readmission Committee and the 3rd Pakistan-EU Talent Partnership Roundtable, organized at the Ministry of Information & National Heritage and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, respectively.

Both delegations appreciated the growing cooperation on migration and labour mobility, underscoring the shared commitment to manage migration effectively and promote safe, legal pathways for workforce engagement.

The Pakistan side reaffirmed its commitment to the EURA agreement, while the EU delegation acknowledged Pakistan’s continued efforts in addressing the challenge of illegal migration.

It was mutually agreed to accelerate the implementation of the Pakistan-EU Talent Partnership Roadmap to enhance skills exchange and employment opportunities for Pakistani workers in the EU.

The next session of the Migration Mobility Dialogue will be held in Brussels.
