Islamabad: Marking World Scout Day, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid glowing tribute to scouts across Pakistan, describing them as a symbol of discipline, service, and hope for the nation’s future.
In his message, the Speaker said the Scout Movement is not merely an extracurricular activity but a transformative platform that shapes character and instills lifelong values. “Scouting nurtures discipline, honesty, leadership, and a deep sense of service to humanity,” he said, adding that these qualities are essential for building a strong and responsible society.
He commended Pakistani scouts for their exemplary role in times of national need, particularly during natural disasters and emergencies, where they have consistently stood at the forefront to assist affected communities. Their spirit of volunteerism, he noted, reflects the true strength and resilience of the nation’s youth.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that steering young people toward positive and constructive engagement is fundamental to national progress. He highlighted that the Scout Movement fosters teamwork, collective responsibility, and leadership skills — qualities that are indispensable for the country’s development and stability.
Describing youth as Pakistan’s “brightest asset and greatest promise,” the Speaker stressed that their proper guidance and constructive training is a shared national obligation. He also underscored the importance of modernizing scouting institutions in line with contemporary needs to ensure their continued relevance and impact.
Reaffirming the National Assembly’s commitment, he said the House would continue to extend full support for youth welfare initiatives and for strengthening the Scout Movement across the country, ensuring that young Pakistanis remain empowered to serve and lead with integrity.
