Muzaffarabad : Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has welcomed the establishment of the Digital and Social Media Journalists Association and extended warm congratulations to its newly elected office-bearers.
In a congratulatory message, the Prime Minister felicitated the Association’s President Naseer Chaudhry, General Secretary Raja Shoaib Mahmood, Senior Vice President Irfan Akram, Vice President Ali Shah Andleeb, Additional General Secretary Muneeb Abbasi, Joint Secretary Usama Zain, Finance Secretary Kashif Javed, Information Secretary Abdul Qayyum, and Record Secretary Adil Shehzad, along with all other newly elected members.
He expressed hope that the Association would play an important role in safeguarding the professional rights of journalists associated with digital and social media, while promoting responsible journalism and contributing positively to society.
The Prime Minister noted that in the modern era, digital and social media have become powerful platforms for the swift dissemination of information. Journalists working in this field are playing a vital role in providing timely and credible information to the public while helping raise awareness on important social issues.
Prime Minister Rathore also expressed confidence that the Association would continue its efforts to strengthen journalistic values and promote responsible and professional journalism.
