Islamabad : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi, in a press conference, stated that the central agenda of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is the health of their leader. He said that every constitutional, legal, and democratic avenue has been pursued to ensure that Imran Khan receives treatment at Shifa International Hospital under the supervision of his family and personal doctors.
“Despite all available constitutional and legal channels, our leader is still being denied treatment. Imran Khan is no ordinary person; he is the former Prime Minister of the country and the lifelong chairman of the nation’s largest political party,” Afridi emphasized.
Referring to historical precedents, he said, “In the Islamic world, two great leaders were targeted—one was martyred and the other imprisoned. Once again, we demand that Imran Khan be allowed immediate treatment at Shifa International Hospital under the supervision of his family and personal doctors.”
He criticized the current rulers, stating, “The imposed rulers of the country have neither a foreign policy nor a domestic policy. They do not even understand what to do during war or peace. The country is being continuously pushed towards destruction. Their only interest is to prevent Imran Khan’s family from meeting him and to deny him treatment.”
Afridi warned, “Currently, the only legitimate leadership in the country is that elected by the public, yet various methods are being used to disqualify it. Their objective is to disqualify the publicly elected Chief Minister and PTI leaders. If this attitude continues, national progress will be impossible.”
He concluded, “God forbid, if anything happens to Imran Khan, the responsibility will rest on the fake government and their handlers.”
