ABU DHABI: Pakistan’s explosive opening batter Fakhar Zaman has been signed by the United Tigers as their icon player for the 2026 Abu Dhabi T10 League.
The newly formed franchise confirmed Fakhar’s signing in a social media post, announcing him as its icon player for the upcoming season.
Fakhar has represented Pakistan in three Tests, 92 One-Day Internationals and 120 Twenty20 Internationals. He also has extensive experience playing in T20 franchise leagues around the world.
The 2026 edition will be the first season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League following changes to its management and structure. Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub acquired a majority stake in the league, with support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Emirates Cricket Board.
The bidding process for teams and franchise ownership was launched earlier this year, resulting in the introduction of new franchises.
The 2026 Abu Dhabi T10 League will be played from November 7 to 20, with eight teams participating in the tournament.
