Pakistan and India will face each other for the first time in the Asian Games men’s cricket final. India secured their place in the final after defeating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semi-final in Nishin on Thursday. Pakistan had earlier booked their place in the final after defeating Bangladesh in a rain-affected semi-final. The first-ever Asian Games men’s cricket final between Pakistan and India will be played on October 3 at Kurogi Sports Park in Nishin. India will enter the final aiming to retain the gold medal they won in 2022, while Pakistan will be looking to claim their first-ever gold medal in men’s cricket at the Asian Games. According to the report, no reserve day has been scheduled if the final is affected by rain. If the match is cancelled, both teams could potentially be awarded joint gold medals.
