The R4 Group, comprising Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Türkiye, has strongly condemned the ongoing attacks by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh that reportedly resulted in civilian casualties, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure and facilities.
In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the four countries described the attacks as a blatant violation of international law and a flagrant infringement of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Group warned that the attacks posed a direct threat to Saudi Arabia’s security and stability, as well as the safety of civilians, describing the escalation as unacceptable and unjustifiable under any circumstances.
Reaffirming their full solidarity with the Kingdom, the four countries expressed support for all legitimate measures Saudi Arabia may take, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law, to counter the attacks, deter the threats and prevent their recurrence.
The statement emphasised that such measures were necessary to safeguard the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity and protect the lives and safety of its citizens and residents.
The R4 Group held the Houthi militia fully responsible for the consequences of the attacks and any resulting repercussions that could endanger regional and international peace and security.
The four countries called for an immediate and unconditional cessation of the attacks, underscoring the need to prevent further escalation and protect regional stability. ek short headline aur ek sub headline do
