Islamabad: The business community of Islamabad and Rawalpindi has announced a major solidarity rally in support of the Pakistan Armed Forces and against Indian aggression. The rally will take place on Saturday, May 10, at 3:00 PM, starting from F-9 Park and culminating at D-Chowk, Islamabad.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, led by President of Islamabad Developers Association, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan. He was joined by Ajmal Baloch, President of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran; Sardar Tahir Mehmood, President of Islamabad Estate Agent Association and Federation of Retailers; former President Chaudhry Rauf; and other prominent business leaders from the federal capital.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas stated, “In the event of war, the business community and overseas Pakistanis will provide full financial support for the country’s defense. Over 90,000 civilians and soldiers have already sacrificed their lives for Pakistan. A cowardly enemy is challenging a nuclear state and attacking with Israeli-made drones. The time has come to give a firm response.”
He emphasized that the rally is a non-political initiative purely for national solidarity. “This is the army that stays awake so we can sleep. If we have a country, it’s because of our defenders. On Saturday, the whole of Pakistan will stand with the military,” he said.
Ajmal Baloch, head of All Pakistan Traders Association, added, “The entire nation stands with the Pakistan Army. This rally will send a message to India—we are united with our soldiers. We’ve already brought down their jets and shown them our strength. If needed, we are ready for martyrdom.”
He further shared that traders have removed Israeli products from their stores and are actively promoting Pakistani goods as a show of support for the broader Muslim community.
Former Islamabad Estate Agents Association President Chaudhry Rauf stressed the importance of national unity. “The whole world is condemning Indian media. Pakistan’s media is free and independent. We must win the media war too. Our message to the army is clear: we’re ready to lay down our lives at your command.”
Owais Satti, President of Islamabad Small Traders, echoed these sentiments. “We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our armed forces and are prepared to defend the border alongside them. India will get a crushing reply.”
The rally is expected to be one of the largest gatherings in recent memory, with traders from across the twin cities joining forces to demonstrate unwavering support for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
