The saints and Sufis are actually such a ray of the candle of the Prophet PBUH that from the fragrance of their deeds and character, such priceless sounds emanate, due to which that region is illuminated with the light of insight and the light of faith and conviction spreads everywhere. Kashmir has in fact been the abode of those friends of Allah, through whom this region is illuminated with the warmth of faith and the candles of the oneness of Allah and the love of the Prophet have been burning. Hazrat Sain Godri Badshah (RA) has left behind such reliable and close spiritual leaders and Qalandars from our ancestors, whose rare personality is like no other in Kashmir and Pakistan. He was such a shining star due to which many stars got light and this series is continuing till now. Sain Sahib used to wear a Godri, hence he was called the Godri King, hardly anyone knows his real name. The people of the area saw him flying in the air many times, whose fame spread far and wide in every area, and at all times thousands of devotees and lovers used to gather in his gathering. dignitaries, high officials and perfect people also came to test him and often get benefits. Due to his asceticism and piety, Allah the Almighty had created such an effect in his language that whatever he prayed or spoke, Allah the Almighty would fulfill it.
His fame spread everywhere and dozens of his miracles are still widely known today. His successor Hazrat sain Farzand Hussain Farooqi (RA) also gained great fame. Hazrat Sain Farzand Hussain Farooqi Sajjada Nashin Sayah Sharif was born in 1940 to Sain Wilayat Hussain RA the fourth son of Qalandar Zaman Baba Godri Badshah RA, and received religious and spiritual education and training in his arms. He was fifteen years old when his father passed away. Then this heavy responsibility fell on his shoulders, but Allah took care of him so much that from a young age, love for religion and adherence to the Holy Quran and Prophet PBUH became the motto of his life. He made many efforts to improve the monastery system and by inviting eminent religious scholars to the Urs gatherings, he intensified the work of invitation and propaganda, which was his unique achievement at that time. He has countless disciples all over Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. He remained the lifelong patron of Darul Uloom Ghousia of Sadhnuti and started the Milad Mustafa procession in Palandri, Tarakhel. He started Friday prayers in Murshidabad and laid the foundation stone of the Jamia Masjid of Gudala, where today a great Darul Uloom is established. He established a mosque on his shrine and built a mosque in Adda, where his shrine is located, during the time when it was a journey on foot. He ordered bricks from Rawalpindi and had it built. It was his great desire that a great Darul Uloom should also be established on his shrine. During his life, his great son the current Sajjada Nashin, Pir Shahzad Hussain Farooqi, also established a Darul Uloom. The work of education of male and female students and welfare of God’s creatures is being done in a very good manner. Which is still going on today. He was blessed with the privilege of performing Hajj and Umrahs and also had the opportunity to visit the United Kingdom. He passed away in 2022. Thousands of people from all over the country attended the funeral prayer. The funeral prayer was led by the successor and Sajada Nasheen Nairian Shareef Pir Muhammad Fazal Rabbani Zahidi, while the second funeral prayer was led by his son, successor, Sain Shahzad Hussain Farooqi, who came from the United Kingdom as per the will of his great father.
He was a very simple, cheerful and thoughtful saint and Sufi. Worship, meditation, and remembrance and prayers were always routine. Organizing Tablighi and spiritual gatherings were his routine. Milad and remembrance of the Prophet’s gatherings were the routine of his life. He was always dedicated to improving the situation and eliminating social evils. He was considered one of the well-known and renowned perfect saint of Pakistan and Kashmir. His greatness and kindness remained with me and I had the honour of meeting him many times. The asset of my life is his Sajjada Nashin Sain Shahzad Hussain Qadri, who is permanently settled in Derby, UK. He is an educated, religious and social spiritual personality. He has also established a Welfare Trust in the name of his great ancestor Sain Godri Badshah and a Darul Uloom attached to the Dargah, in which there is a high level of religious education for students in darse Nizami Tajweed, Hifz and Qiraat.
The annual Urs of Hazrat Sain Godri Badshah (RA) and Hazrat Sain Farzand Hussain Farooqi (RA) is starting from 25th April this year under the patronage of Sajjada Nashin Sain Shahzad Hussain Qadri and will continue for three days in which important national and political personalities, great Sheikhs, eminent scholars and Naat Khwans are participating in large numbers with devotion and respect.
