ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will pay a one-day visit to Istanbul on November 3, 2025, at the invitation of the Turkish Foreign Minister to attend the Coordination Meeting of Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers.
The meeting will focus on joint efforts to advance the Arab-Islamic peace initiative, which culminated in the signing of the Gaza Peace Agreement in Sharm El-Sheikh. Pakistan, along with seven other Arab-Islamic nations, has been actively engaged in promoting this initiative aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the region.
During the Istanbul meeting, Pakistan will highlight the importance of the complete implementation of the ceasefire, the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Occupied Palestinian Territories, particularly Gaza, and the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. Pakistan will also call for the reconstruction of Gaza and sustained global support for relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Reaffirming its principled stance, Pakistan will emphasize the need for collective international action to achieve an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, based on pre-1967 borders and in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Pakistan reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, standing for peace, justice, and dignity, and upholding the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
