MIRPUR:
Central President of Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan and former Minister for Tourism and Transport, Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, has strongly condemned the recent wave of terrorist incidents in the country, stressing that terrorism remains a grave threat that must be eliminated through national unity and unwavering support for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
In a statement, Tahir Khokhar said defeating terrorism requires the collective resolve of the entire nation, urging citizens to stand shoulder to shoulder with state institutions and the armed forces to eradicate the menace once and for all.
He also condemned what he described as foreign-sponsored conspiracies and threats targeting Pakistan and its military leadership, including the Field Marshal. He said elements operating from abroad and plotting against the armed forces are enemies of the state and must be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
Paying tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan Army officers and security personnel, Tahir Khokhar said the blood of martyrs shed in the fight against terrorism would never go in vain. He warned that anti-state elements, along with their facilitators and hidden sponsors, would be held fully accountable.
Reaffirming an uncompromising stance on national sovereignty and security, he said there could be no compromise on Pakistan’s defense. “If required, every sacrifice will be made for the protection of the country, and the nation and armed forces will stand united like a solid wall,” he asserted.
He said the Pakistan Army is not only the guardian of the country’s borders but also occupies a special place in the hearts of the people, which explains the public’s continued trust and confidence in the armed forces.
Tahir Khokhar added that Pakistani soldiers are sacrificing their lives not only for present generations but also to ensure a safe and secure future for those to come. He said the nation would always remain indebted to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland.
He further said Pakistan has been blessed with a courageous, professional and resolute Army Chief who possesses the determination to confront enemies decisively. Due to the bravery, professionalism and sacrifices of the armed forces, he said, adversaries fear Pakistan and are aware that any hostile move will be met with a strong and effective response.
Warning against attempts to destabilize the country from within, Tahir Khokhar said hostile forces are trying to spread chaos, unrest and hatred to weaken Pakistan. However, he maintained that the nation is vigilant and fully capable of thwarting such conspiracies.
Appealing to the public, he urged citizens to reject elements spreading disorder and stand in complete solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces. He concluded that only a united nation can ensure a strong, secure and prosperous Pakistan, reaffirming that Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan stands firmly alongside the armed forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
