PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has challenged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to cross Swabi, claiming that the party’s leaders become hesitant whenever they approach the area. “Swabi is a bridge of fire for them. Whenever they turn towards Swabi, they take a U-turn and head in the opposite direction,” the governor said. Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Faisal Karim Kundi said PTI should demonstrate its courage and resolve by crossing Swabi. He remarked that the party’s leaders became nervous at the mere mention of the district. The governor criticized the provincial government, alleging that the province was facing serious challenges while its leadership was indulging in luxuries. He further accused PTI of attempting to bring the police under its control and establish a “Tiger Force” for its own purposes. Commenting on the party’s long march, Kundi said PTI had turned the political activity into what he described as a “Lucky Irani Circus”.
