Islamabad, With 25 million children out of school, Pakistan faces one of the world’s biggest education emergencies. In response, Sunbeams is hosting a special Zakat-focused charity event at PNCA Auditorium, Islamabad, from turning generosity into opportunity for the nation’s future generations.
This event is part of Pakistan 100 for 100 (PK100), Sunbeams’ bold initiative to achieve 100% literacy in Islamabad by 2027 and nationwide by 2047. By channeling Zakat into education, Sunbeams is breaking barriers, transforming communities, and ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has a chance to learn and thrive.
The event will bring together policymakers, philanthropists, and education leaders to explore how collective action can create lasting impact. It will highlight real stories of children whose lives have been changed by education, demonstrating how one contribution can spark a lifetime of possibilities.
Ainee Nasir Jamy, Founder and Chairperson of Sunbeams, emphasized the movement’s urgency:
“Pakistan 100 for 100 is more than a mission—it’s a promise. Every child we educate is a step toward a stronger, more empowered Pakistan. This is our moment to turn Zakat into a force for change.”
